In November 2023, the NC Chamber released its 2023 How They Voted Session Review, in which they looked at legislation in the NC General Assembly on critical business issues and how each member voted.

Of the 14 bills that the NC Chamber scored, Sen. Kandie Smith earned an 89%, exceeding the 80% requirement to be titled a “Jobs Champion.”

Kandie is a supporter of business and industry, especially in Eastern North Carolina, where there is so much opportunity for responsible growth. She is a small business owner herself, and understands how important opportunities for entrepreneurship are for people and communities to thrive.
